We help teams and individuals develop the skills to create effective online learning.
Online learning isn’t just a case of moving content from one format to another, or turning a live class or workshop into videos or a series of presentation and practice activities.
Learning science ensures that your solution is based on the latest research into what actually works in learning. Missing this out risks a solution that doesn’t help learners, which is not a recipe for long term success.
Design thinking provides a clear process which fosters creativity and ensures that learning solutions are based on learners’ needs and your organisation’s goals. Failing to do this risks investing time and money in something that no-one wants.
Babbel is one of the world’s most popular language learning apps. They were looking for ways to better engage their learners through curated content. We ran a design sprint to explore this concept of curation, what content could be used and from what sources, and then to develop product concepts.
We worked with the Babbel team to generate and then work up a number of ideas that could then be taken forward to prototype and test with learners.
Automation Anywhere is a hyper-growth Silicon Valley process automation and AI company. We helped them design and develop an online micro-learning programme to replace an in-person bootcamp which couldn’t scale to match the company’s growth. Moving online allowed them to massively increase the number of sales reps they could train up in core product knowledge.
Excedo is a new business communication skills startup from Nikkei-Financial Times. We worked together to develop a fully mobile blended course which integrates live classes, peer learning and self-study in a way which really breaks the mould of business English training.
LearnJam provided us with expertise in best practice learning design and digital innovation. We were looking for people to challenge our thinking and take our project to the next level – that's exactly what they did.
EtonX wanted to create an engaging entrepreneurship course for 14-20-year olds. We created a syllabus design for a fully online course made up of self-study, peer-to-peer and instructor-led sessions. The challenge was in understanding learners’ wants and needs, mapping learning objectives to pre-defined course structure and devising pedagogically effective interactions to provide an impactful online learning experience.
We worked with the British Council and EDACY (a Senegal-based tech training organisation) to explore the English language needs of francophone West Africa, specifically in relation to gaining employment in the digital economy.
We ran a one-week design sprint in Dakar to produce a working prototype of an English Pillar to the EDACY programme which we then tested with learners.
PTE Academic is an online English-proficiency test for learners applying for international visas and university places. Pearson were finding that candidates weren’t fully prepared for the test format, which had a negative impact on their results.
We designed and built a mobile app that helps learners understand the test format, gives them tips and allows them to practise the different activity types in the exam.
